# Android

**Important:** Google only lets you subscribe to a calendar on the web, from [calendar.google.com](https://calendar.google.com/). You can show or hide calendars you’ve already subscribed to, but you can’t subscribe to a calendar in the Google Calendar app. \[[source](https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37100?hl=en\&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid#:~:text=Important%3A%20You%20can%20only%20subscribe,in%20the%20Google%20Calendar%20app.\&text=Check%20or%20uncheck%20your%20preferred%20calendar.)]

I now see the calendar in my list of calendars, but events aren't appearing in my Google Calendar app. How do I fix this?

Without Google Connect, Google doesn't update calendar subscriptions immediately. It can take up to 48 hours for events to appear in your calendar. If you'd like to get near real-time event updates, switch to [Google Connect](/stanza-help-center/for-subscribers/stanzaplus/google-connect.md).

If you're still not seeing events on your Android after 48 hours, you may need to clear the storage & cache on your device:

1. Go to **Settings** on Android (not Google Calendar settings) and tap on **Apps.**

If you'd like near real-time updates, switch to [Google Connect](/stanza-help-center/for-subscribers/stanzaplus/google-connect.md). You'll have the ability to [Force Refresh](/stanza-help-center/for-subscribers/stanzaplus/google-connect.md#how-do-i-force-refresh-a-calendar) your a calendar to get the latest updates.
