What does subscribing to a calendar on Stanza mean?

Clicking the "Add to Calendar" button creates a subscription in your calendar app. This means any event updates or new announcements will automatically reflect in your calendar app.

What calendar apps can I use to subscribe to calendars on Stanza?

We’re compatible with all major calendar apps: Google, Apple, Outlook, Yahoo, etc. You can also always a calendar on Stanza into any calendar app.

What kind of calendars can I subscribe to on Stanza?

You can find over 60,000 calendars across sports, TV, movies, local events and more. Every day new calendars are added to Stanza.

How frequently will I get updates as new events are added or existing ones are updated?

The frequency depends on the calendar app you are using. These are the historical syncing frequency of popular calendars:

Apple updates upon starting the app & every 1-3 hours.
Google normally updates every 24 - 48 hours. You can upgrade to to get access to to get near real-time updates.
Outlook updates upon starting the app & every 1-3 hours.
Outlook.com updates every 3 hours.
Yahoo updates every 8-12 hours

Will I know when my calendar app last updated?

No, calendar apps update silently by default, and do not tell you when they last updated or what exactly was updated.

members can see a timestamp in every event on their calendar telling them when and what was last updated.

Is there a limit to calendars I can subscribe to?

No, there is no such limit. Keep in mind that you will need to upgrade to to subscribe to more than 2 calendars.

How can I manage the calendars I’ve subscribed to?

Head to your Library (stanzacal.com/library) to view your calendars, groups and imports.

To resubscribe to a calendar, click the calendar icon with the refresh symbol (the left-most icon). This will reopen your calendar app.
To share a calendar, click on the Share icon in the dropdown—see screenshot below.
If you need to a calendar, click on the Copy Link icon in the dropdown to copy the subscription link. Then follow your calendar app’s process for importing.
To delete a calendar, click on the Trash icon in the dropdown.

I’ve deleted a calendar or group within Stanza. How do I remove it from my calendar app?

Based on your calendar app, follow these instructions to manually unsubscribe from a calendar subscription:

- scroll down to “Remove a calendar from your list permanently”
- scroll down to “Unsubscribe from a calendar subscription”

How can I share a calendar I’ve subscribed to?

You can share a calendar directly from your Library page by clicking on Share in the dropdown.

Alternatively, click on the calendar name in your Library to go the Stanza page for that calendar. Click on the share icon to copy the link or share across different platforms.

What information is shared when I subscribe to a calendar?

Since Stanza only generates the calendar link for import into your chosen calendar app, no information is shared. We do not have access to the events within your calendar app, nor do we manage any account settings or permissions on your behalf.

Who can see my subscribed calendars?

No one can see your subscribed calendars. Your subscribed calendars are private until you add them to a group.
